Paramedic / Full-Time- $72,514
Lateral Paramedic w/5ys experience – $79,649
EMT / Full-Time – $64,912
Part-Time Paramedic – $22.71per/hr
Part-Time EMT – $19.76 per/hr
Insurance & Retirement
- City Health Plan (medical, dental, and vision) with Cigna (City pays 100% for employees). Family coverage is available for an additional cost.
- Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund – Both the City (currently over 7%) and the employee (4.5%) contribute toward pension and a number of other benefit programs. Up to 10% Voluntary Contribution.

SPECIAL EMS TEAMS
Working with our department allows medics the opportunity to join special teams in the area including ILEAS, Mobile Field Force, and our department’s Rescue Task Force. Full-time members receive a complete set of body armor, Avon gas masks, and new extrication gear. We participate in annual active shooter training, fire ground rehab, emergency driver training, and more. O’Fallon-Shiloh EMS works closely with its Police and Fire departments in developing multi discipline operations that are unique to our area.
